]]> Wonga Beach State School  hosted an afternoon of family entertainment to raise money for KIND Inc and to celebrate World Kindness Day.  Giggles were provided by none other than the aptly named “The Giggles”, a delicious Bake and Cake sale was hosted by the School Council, and lots of fun activities including face painting and games rounded out a highly successful afternoon of kindness and family fun.

The Student Council raised a wonderful  $830 for KIND Inc who assist local Douglas Shire children needing support after diagnosis with a terminal or chronic illness or injury.

Congratulations Wonga Beach State School students for a successful and entertaining afternoon!

]]> Once again in 2019 we staged the Jungle Ride for KIND. 

This event was held on 12 October 2019 and around 230 bike riders joined in on the spectacular ride from Port Douglas to Cape Tribulation (and return for the very keen!!). 

KIND is the major charity staging the ride which raises a significant amount to help our local families. 

The Committee of KIND would like to thank everyone who helped us get this ride on the road ?‍♀?‍♂?‍♀?‍♂?‍♀?‍♂?‍♀?‍♂?‍♀ – volunteers, riders, sponsors thank you for always supporting the children of the Douglas Shire who need you ????. #jungleride2019 Kind – kids in need donations
